Nici Beutler is a director and producer working primarily in documentary and fiction. Her focus lies on stories about people on the edge of society, whose worlds are often overlooked or misrepresented, to tell the stories of the forgotten characters in an intimate format.
For Nicis debut fiction project in 2018, a self-produced and self-directed shortfilm, she has worked with the support of Burgergemeinde Bern, BEKB Förderfonds and RESPECT. Over the years she has produced a political campaign for Amnesty International and SP as well as several commercials and directed three episodes of the SRF short documentaries "Berufsbilder".
As a director and producer, Nici stays with a project from the creation of the concept all the way through the finished film, to make sure the vision gets delivered.
Nici works and lives in Bern, Switzerland, as a director and producer with the focus on documentary and narrative film projects that tell the stories at the interface of personal experience and social reality.
Currently Nici is in the beginning stages of writing the narrative shortfilm "Signals" that will be produced by the end of 2026.
